Christmas in Atlanta

We spent some time in Atlanta for Christmas and New Year's Eve. Here are some pictures as we spent them with Karen's parents, family and my cousins.

What is Christmas about?

It is surprising how we get caught up in the spirit of this world and not that of the other. This time of year is supposed to be centered on Jesus and His work of redemption. Instead we get caught up with JCPenney and redeemable sales slips. Not that we deny the celebration of our Lord, but somehow, at times we find ourselves swimming with the current, albeit unwittingly. Just a thought. Watch the video and see.

Libby as Benjamin Franklin

Libby presented a short bio on Benjamin Franklin for school. Here is a picture of her and the short video of her presentation. Joey also got into the act. If you look closely you can see Libby's eyes as she holds up the poster for Joey.

Our Thanksgiving in Florida

We had a nice time with Karen's parents at their beach house in Florida for Thankgiving.

Karen's 40th birthday carrot cake. We bought differenct types of cake slices because she's the only one that likes carrot cake. Libby ate a chocolate cake and I had an Atkins bar. This way we don't waste money.
